So our customs agent in Argentina (who speaks no English) actually came through it seems. When we gave him a high-five and left our bikes in his back yard we were thought for sure that we’d never see them again. But, Osvaldo the customs agent came through and has our bikes and two other much more expensive bikes loaded on a Hamburg-Sud container ship steaming its way to Port Everglades in Miami. We’ll need to travel there for some kiteboarding and to pick them up in a few weeks then the relatively short ride back to Houston. Here is a picture sent by Osvaldo of the bikes piled up inside the shipping container.
We’ve both been missing the chicken bike trip these last few months. So the last leg from Miami to Houston will be good to get back on the road, although I think out butts will think differently when they touch those tiny motorcycle seats again.
